Yum! Great gourmet coffee and yummy breakfast and lunch sandwiches. Limited menu and seating, but locally run and always friendly service.

Southern Brews coffee shop and restaurant is a hidden local gem!! It's a little tucked back from Maybank Highway right next to the corner of River Road and Maybank but easily accessible (turn after the Kangaroo gas station). Everything is homemade and their sandwiches are made on fresh, soft bread with their special sauce (BLTs and our favorite is the ABC -- apple, bacon & cheddar sandwich) The coffees are amazing with all different varieties of caramel salted michas, espressos and frozen frappes. The staff is super nice and friendly. Best of all is their drive through window. Very convenient!

The coffee was amazing! My friend and I had 2 seasonal drinks and loved both of them. Service was friendly and prompt. All around, nothing to complain about! The only thing I could say is that we didn't see anywhere to sit inside, looked like it was just a drive through. But that could be a good thing when you need a drive through and get the full attention.

Going down there creative and delicious drinks, doo far everything on there menu has been worth trying.

This is the best coffee shop in the area & the young lady at the window could not have been more kind! She turned a rough day into a nice one with just a few words.

Great place for coffee or a breakfast sandwich. Their coffee is some of the best I've had. If they keep growing they will need a walk in counter (it's Drive Thru only). Hope this place stays around as Johns Island grows!

We always stopped here while on 24 hour duty manning the Coast Guard Air Facility on Johns Island. They always had good coffee and breakfast sandwiches. Always had a good experience.

I drove in for a regular cup of joe, amazing! I am glad I got the large! Friendly barista, quick and easy! Definitely recommend if you are on Johns Island! I had driven by for years but never stopped! Loved the plain coffee! I get it black no fancy stuff! A good cup of joe! And for $3.05 that’s a deal! Thank you! Cheers!

I ordered a cappuccino it was delicious the quality of coffee as well as made correctly, the employee at the window was very nice and seemed to really enjoy her job!

Had been meaning to try this place due to the rants and raves i have heard from friends.Pulling up i noticed the line was 7 cars deep but was pleased to see how smooth and swiftly they managed to serve everyone efficiently.was out in less then 5 mins.the sandwich tasted fresh and flavorful.the friendly welcoming faces and genuine smiles warmed my morning and made the sandwich that much more delicious.this is a very welcome addition to my arsenal of good breakfast choices.haven’t had their coffee yet so can’t comment on that,although i am pretty sure it is awesome considering this is their forte.

Great barista, friendly staff, amazing coffee. Visited the area and went two days in a row. Got the Rocky Road and the Chocolate Mocha coffee a chocolate chocolate chip muffin and a blueberry muffin. Muffins were very large and fresh. Coffees were both delicious and creamy. Worth the price.

Great local coffee shop on Johns Island with tasty drink selection. Food is available also but you'll typically have a short wait for it. Not a big deal but keep in mind it's drive through only.

Simple menu, great coffee drinks, great service, more than enough room for multiple cars in the drive through!

Love the coffee and service here, nice local business with good sandwich selections as well as. The drive-thru makes it very convenient to order on your way to or from a destination whether you need something on the go in a hurry or just need to satisfy a morning or midday craving this is the spot to go if you're not hungry enough for a sandwich they also have a selection of Danish and smaller items. I wish they had some more outdoor seating for nice days.

The best coffee

This is the best coffee I have ever had and I have drank a lot of coffee in my lifetime. They have any kind of coffee type you can think of . Great heath food selection in the sandwich range. Fresh made bread of all types. Very nice folks here. A little hard to get in and out of due to location however well worth the trouble. Prices in line with other coffee shops but food and service pulls them ahead by a long way. Stop in and tell em papa Smurf recommended them, you'll be glad you went and you will start a new good habit. Trust me.

Speciality coffee drinks are heavenly. Tried the Angel Oak and Rocky Road. Yum!!

Southern Brews Coffee on Maybank Highway is one of my favorite places to get coffee and something to quick to eat. I really like the drive through option available as well as walking in. They are very efficient and work hard to make sure that you have everything you order quickly so you can be back on your way. I have been happy with my order every time I have been here.

This place is awesome! Everyone is so friendly, and they go above and beyond to make your experience even better. I love their coffee (white chocolate mocha is sooo good) & their sandwiches are great too!! Definitely recommend + it’s a local business which makes it even better. 👍🏼

True Oasis in a coffee desert. Friendly and fast service, delicious cappuccino, and if you're there for breakfast get the breakfast bagel with ham sun-dried tomato Mayo on an everything bagel.
